Evening At The Hospital

This week (34 Weeks), I had some concerns with the baby. I figured it was nothing but I was giving a red flag. The baby had only been squirming for the last 2 days and absolutely no kicks. Which is not normal for her!! It was major decrees in how often she usually moves!!

I ended up calling my OB just to make sure she was OK and easy our minds!

They had me do a "Kick Count" for 15 minutes. Which is where you drink something like orange juice and lay on your left side for 15 minutes. I had to count every movement I felt during this time. My count was ONE (with one hiccup)....

So my doctor sent me to Labor & Delivery to get a Non-Stress Test and get hooked up to the monitors for a while! We took the long drive to the hospital. On the bright side, Homer got some practice driving me to the hospital!!

Wouldn't you know... she was so excited when we got there she was moving all around! Thankfully she is fine!! But she sure did make mommy look like a fool!!!

They were nice at the hospital and said I did the right thing by coming in. And if it happens again I should also come in because it's better to be safe than sorry!!!

I did also find out for sure she is still breech..... ahhhh!! That is so stressing me out!! FLIP OVER ALREADY!!

32 Weeks

It's hard to believe that in 8 weeks (maybe less) I will have my baby girl in my arms! I defiantly "feel" pregnant. I'm really tired these days and it's getting really hard to move around... Things like sitting, bending over, walking through a store... is now hard for me to do!

The baby currently is breech. So I've been making LOTS of trips to the restroom (even at night) due to the new location of baby girls feet!

She is still "Baby Girl"! We have crossed off several names off my "maybe" list but have not pick THE name yet! We have her last name, lol, if that helps!!

CribmobileI thought I would share what her bed looks like. It's been put together for a while now. It wasn't easy to get this one together but now that it's all done I love the way it looks!! I bough the crib set I wanted from eBAY several weeks ago. It's a discounted model made by Amy Coe. It's hard to tell in the small photos but the colors are pink & brown!

Our daughter, Lisa, is still using the crib mattress so it's not yet in the crib! She will be moving to her "Big Girl" bed for her birthday or Christmas!

Baby Shower

Friday, November 7, 2008

I would like to thank everyone for coming to my baby shower and for all the wonderful gifts that everyone got for our little one!!

I had a great time! It was really nice getting to see some of you I had not seen in sometime!! I am so thankful I have such a caring and supportive family! We can not wait until we can introduce you to our little girl!

We had so many babies at the shower! I'm glad that they all got to come! I wish that I would have though sooner to get them all in the same picture!!

Can you believe that we will have FIVE babies in our family at the same time (all just over a year old or less)!? And all of them are little girls!! I guess we are just waiting on my little one now!!

What to do with myself...

Friday, October 24, 2008

Well Lisa just started 1/2 day pre-school, 4 days a week.

Since she was born I have always stayed home with her. It had it's ups and downs but she really needs this, in order to get ready for Kindergarten next year!! She is doing GREAT! Her teacher said she adjusted well and she is very vocal and involved!! She gets excited to go and talks about her day... She loves doing her "homework" and gets us all involved in helping her with it!! I'm proud of her!!!!

The weirdest part of the whole thing is getting a few hours alone, to myself! It's weird! I don't know what to do. The house is quite. I can hear myself think. I'm calm and relaxed for the first time in 4 years!!! It's nice, now I have to try not to get used to this because in a few months I will have a newborn and the process will start all over again!!

The Name Game

Not one but TWO baby name dictionary's and the numerous websites that are available to us... you would think that we would have picked out a name by now, right?!

Think again!!

Our little girl is still nameless! It's hard thinking of a name that will be part of someone the rest of there life!!

I'm my opinion, a little girl's name should be very pretty. It should also fit them as a child and adult!! Lisa's (Our Daughter) name is pretty. People always complement us on her name! So how will we ever think of a name as beautiful as hers?

Believe it or not, Homer actually was the one who thought of Lisa's name!! Now I joke with Homer that he is holding back on me this time... trying to give me a chance to name this one since he named Lisa!! He denies this claim though!! LOL

I'm sure the name will come to us when we hear it!! Until then I guess she is still just "Baby Girl"!!

28 Weeks

Monday, October 20, 2008

I am now in my 3rd trimester. The count down is on now!! My belly is differently starting to show. Strangers now comment on it and ask questions about when I'm due! It seems as if I just POPPED out all of a sudden because I find myself not allowing the belly enough clearance room! Oops, I'm always bumping into something!!!

All of the last trimester discomforts have kicked in so I have a lot to complain about now days! I'm moody, I feel like crying, I can't eat much at a time (a fry fills me up), I have horrible heartburn (This child better have hair!), my hips hurt, my back hurts, I can't bend, I can't walk, I can't stand to stand, I can't get comfortable, and this baby kicks way too hard!!

I guess other than that, baby and I are doing quite well!! I actually enjoy when she is (nicely) kicking and moving around! Being pregnant and feeling your child move is incredible! I know this isn't my 1st but the experience is still the same as the first! When she kicks it's like she's saying, "Hey Mommy, I'm in here, I'm healthy, and I'm growing! I'll see you soon!" She is very strong... In fact I think she may kick the hardest of the three kids! And that says alot because Bart was pretty strong himself!!

Anyway, the photo is current! I have been having Homer take a photo of my belly every week since week 15! I know I don't always look my best now days but it's nice to look back and remember things!! I'm thinking, I would like to get a professional photo taken when I'm full term!!

Welcome

Hi everyone! I am creating this blog to keep all my family and friends updated on our life! With the new baby coming... I'm sure alot of you will want to see pictures and hear stories on what's going on!!

As you all may know I am expecting my 3rd child January 2009! I am currently (almost) 29 weeks pregnant. That puts me at (about) 7 months! I can say that I am now happy and excited to have my third child... But if you would have ask me that on Mother's Day 2008 (the day I found out) you may have heard a completely different story!!!

This baby was a complete surprise to Homer & I! We thought that our family was complete with one boy and one girl... after all it does sound good, one of each!

Blog Note

I'm choosing to keep my blog viewable to the public so everyone will be able to see it with out any troubles!

I feel comfortable having it open to all (even the strangers) but for all of our safety I am NOT using our real names! I have chosen to go with a theme! Since we will now have 3 kids "The Simpson's" comes to mind!! And it fits!! LOL

So here are the names...

  • Our son is Bart (age 9; currently in 4th grade)
  • Our daughter is Lisa (age 4; attends Pre-School)
  • Our baby is Magie (Due in January)
  • Daddy is Homer (age 27; currently NOT bald!! lol)
  • And I am Marge (age 26; currently a SAHM aka Stay At Home Mom)

Enjoy!
